Concert of the 7-th subscription "The best and the new. Season two. Chamber Orchestra "Divertissement".
According to a long-established tradition, the Divertimento Chamber Orchestra begins each new philharmonic season with a program consisting of Russian music. The 2023-24 season has not become an exception.
The concert program includes compositions that have become iconic for their era. Russian Romanticism masterpieces – the bright and virtuoso Serenade by P.I. Tchaikovsky and the picturesque musical painting by M.P.Mussorgsky "Night on Bald Mountain", the mischievous neoclassical "Basel" concerto by I.F.Stravinsky and the almost minimalist Viola Sonata by D.D.Shostakovich form a brief history of the development of Russian musical thought of the last century and a half, but will also become a kind of the prologue to the next concerts of the cycle, in which the band will perform actual modern Russian music: L.Desyatnikov, S.Akhunov, P. Karmanov and other authors.
